The following are great campgrounds we stayed at:

Fransted Family Campground
Franconia, New Hampshire

This campground is rated a three diamonds in Woodall's Camping Book, and it should be a 4 diamonds.

They treat their guest with care. Even have a rock garden displaying past friends who traveled through.

Our campfire pit even was ammaculate with a painted rock.

You even can park in their woodsy area.

Our pull through was extra nice.

The bathrooms were clean.

Even their laundry.

Even a beach area.

With a running creek.

The acres of land was huge.

They even have a canopy for parties.

Beacon RV Park
St. Joseph, Missouri

Beacon RV Park is downtown in
St. Joseph, Missouri.

A very popular park for people passing through or regulars that come up to visit St. Joseph.

They can accommodate many sizes of rigs.

Pull thru's are also available.

LP gas is sold also at the RV Park.

They are noted in several camping referral books and have some groceries and RV products available.

Another view of the office and store.

Restrooms and Laundry available

The laundry rooms are commercial machines and are kept clean every day. This was the first laundry room I was impressed with.

Even the showers / bathroom for the Park were very clean and modern.

I give this park a thumbs up also, because the Owner's go out of the way to make your stay a satisfied one. If you happen to stop by, say hi to Glen, Karen, Garth and Jamie for us.

Bobber Lake Campground
Boonville, Missouri

Bobber Lake Campground is where we stayed at to go on the Katy Trail. It was nice and right off of I-70 for convience.

The park had a shower and bath area.

Typical site for a RV.

Our Rv set up by a nice shade tree.

Dale and Shadow our dog enjoying the campground.

Quiet and peaceful.

Ol' McDonald Campground
St Joseph, MO.

Ol' McDonald Farm campground was a great campsite. It had full hookups and was on a farm.

We were the only ones there, because it was not season yet.

So we pulled our motorhome sideways to get a great view of the farm and sunset.

It was windy being on top of the hill, but what a view!

Sunset

Getting darker

We put our website name on both sides of our windshield to let people know our website.

This is one of the great things about our life. Nature!

The campground was great. In fact we would of stayed there for Dale's job, but they had no modem hookups. Our email and website is too important to give up yet. It would of been nice to stay with nature.

Dogwood RV Park
2400 North Highway 25
Travelers Rest, SC 29690

Dogwood Rv park in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Entrance is one road in and out

Spring is a must see in this RV park.

Our RV site with the Dogwoods in full bloom.

Typical RV/Campsite Site

The Office is open 7AM to 6PM and the RV Park was owned and operated by Donna and Bart. Tell them we said Hi!

Plenty of sites for stay overs and monthly's.

LP Gas and Laundry facilities.

The Park is positioned between two hills and one of them is owned by the RV Park, so you can go hiking.

Inside the office.

Laundry facilities.

Exit out onto Highway 25.

This park was very nice and I can see why regulars come back to it especially around spring. The owner's/operators are very pleasant and are a roll model to what campground owners/operators should be. I highly recommend this RV Park. I will be back for sure, if we pass through.

Bellaire Woods Campground
Savannah, GA.

Bellaire Woods Campground was in a setting like Louisiana Bayou. It had a Spanish moss hanging from trees and more.

This looks like a road going down the hill, but turned out to be a bayou coming up to camp area.

Dale walking to the bayou.

It had a little wood walk way out to it.

Beware of alligators, No swimming.

Another view.

Dale checking out boardwalk.

Another view.

Shadow joined us on our walk.

The park was nice. It may be mosquito heaven during season. Also the lady at registration was very busy and rattled off directions and rules like I knew them already. Or maybe its that I am living in slow gear now!

Mistletoe State Park
Appling, GA.
01/03/01

Mistletoe State park
$16.00 a night

What a view we had in site #48

Close up view

The lake surrounded us

The  park was great and is the best we have experienced so far. This is what a State park is all about.

McKinney Campground
1-877-444-6777
Allatoona Lake, Georgia

Pull through for $18.00

Roadway through campsites.

Typical campsite.

Sites along the lake

Walking the path towards are campsite.
Perspective of campground size to our RV.

Water & Electric hookup only. Dumpstations nearby.

Another view of campsite

The only drawback is the locking of the gates at 9PM so you have to park outside the entrance and walk to your site which can be a mile. We just dealt with it and got home early. If you get around the North part of Atlanta, Ga. then check out this campground.

Harrison Bay State Park, Chattanooga TN.
12/2/00 - 12/3/00

Snow found us the next day

2-3" of snow came at Saturday night

Experienced snow in the motorhome first time

Snow everywhere

Campground only ran 10 dollars a night with water and electric hookup. The only problem we seen with it, was the not clearly marked sites and some of the hookups were 20 feet away. But we had it covered with supplies we had on board.
